BEGIN Main body of content

Hogan Lovells is one of the few firms in Hong Kong which offers genuine strength and depth across a wide range of practice areas. Combine this with our open and collegiate atmosphere and it is easy to see why Hogan Lovells is the first choice for a training contract amongst many graduates, particularly those who have experienced working at the firm for themselves on one of our vacation programmes.

From your first day you will be given real responsibility and client contact as well as top quality training, within an extensive support network to enable you to realise your potential and develop your career.

We are aware that our success depends on excellent teamwork and our ability to attract and keep the brightest and most able people.  As a result, Hogan Lovells:

  • invests heavily in recruiting and developing our lawyers throughout their careers
  • seconds all its Hong Kong trainees to the one of our overseas offices for six months (currently secondment options include London, Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo)
  • takes a long term view and, when recruiting vacation students and trainees, is therefore seeking the next generation of qualified lawyers and partners
  • has always enjoyed a particularly high retention rate of trainees on qualification (around 90%)

For training contract and vacation placement positions we welcome applications from:

  •  law and non-law students
  •  undergraduates and postgraduate students
  •  students from Hong Kong or international universities

A strong academic record and fluent English skills are essential.  Chinese language skills (spoken Cantonese and Putonghua and written simplified and traditional Chinese) are also highly desirable.
