We are more than happy to provide you with a few tips for your application:
- Keep your covering letter brief and to the point. Emphasise what makes you stand out from the crowd and why you are interested in working for Hogan Lovells. Provide further information on your preferred location, specialist area, start date and duration of employment.
- Your CV should be well structured and presented in table format leaving no period of time unexplained, and should also show the central theme running through your development to date. List your grades and use key words to describe the tasks/work you have performed in previous internships, placements or in other activities. Don't forget to mention any voluntary work, prizes, memberships and hobbies that make you stand out as an individual.
- Use a serious email address for your electronic application and remember to specify your contact details. Keep an eye on file sizes and make sure that you have enough memory capacity left in your own email account. Use standard formats (*.doc, *.pdf) and use clear file names for your attachments (e.g. name_covering letter.pdf). Applications are much easier to read if you do not create and attach a separate file for each scanned attachment, but, for example, create a file containing all of your certificates/letters of reference.
