Professional excellence is expected as standard at Hogan Lovells.  We are therefore fully committed to the continuing professional development of all our people.

To support this commitment we offer a full range of legal, technical, management and business learning initiatives, tailored to match your level of experience and your area of practice.

The format of our training programmes ranges from large scale international gatherings of practice groups sharing cutting edge knowledge and practice; to intensive small group work aimed at developing your presentation or negotiation skills; to interactive training programmes delivered to your desktop using the latest technology.  Our award-winning simulation TransAct offers the opportunity to experience and learn from an international Corporate transaction.

Training is delivered by a mix of our own partners and senior associates, internal specialists from the finance, business development and training teams, and external experts.

We know that professional people develop much of their expertise by working alongside more experienced colleagues.  Hogan Lovells unique collegiate culture provides an ideal opportunity for coaching and mentoring.  Partners and lawyers at all levels are encouraged to use everyday work situations to help develop the skills and experience of less experienced colleagues.

We acknowledge the invaluable contribution made to the success of the firm by our legal PAs and our professional business services teams.  Our dedicated people development team ensures that everyone has the opportunity to keep their specialist knowledge up to date.

Development programmes are available for legal PAs and business services staff at all levels.  Study leave and support is offered to those wishing to undertake professional qualifications relating to their role in the firm.
