When did you join the firm?
In 1987 and became a partner in 1991.
What have been your career highlights?
I work with some of the UK's largest occupational pension schemes, including those of Centrica plc, the Royal Mail Pension Plan and the Pilkington Superannuation Scheme. One of my most interesting current projects is obtaining a judicial interpretation of the Crown guarantee in relation to BT plc's pension liabilities which was given by the Secretary of State when the company was privatised.
What, in your view, is the one best thing about Hogan Lovells?
One of the nicest things about our pensions group is that we all enjoy the work, although the law is complex, and we can talk things through with colleagues, sharing our knowledge and experience.
What's your favourite book?
One of my favourite books is The Time Traveller's Wife, by Audrey Niffenegger.
