What have been your career highlights?
Over the last 11 years I have worked in a number of law firms in a variety of HR and graduate recruitment roles. One thing I was most proud of was simultaneously co-ordinating a number of overseas (South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Canada) and domestic recruitment campaigns. This ultimately helped the firm I was working for at the time grow by around two thirds.
In my current role at Hogan Lovells, I enjoy the contact with such bright and motivated students and trainee solicitors at such an exciting time in their careers. It is rewarding to play a role in helping these individuals get the most out of the opportunities available at Hogan Lovells.
What, in your view, is the one best thing about Hogan Lovells?
I love working with my immediate team, which is very supportive and hardworking. The graduate recruitment and trainee development functions also have a great deal of positive buy-in from the Partners and the rest of the firm, and this makes the job so much more enjoyable. Of course the free gym is a massive bonus!
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself!
My wedding in September 2010 made both The Metro and Evening Standard, as our caterers went bust and we had less than 2 hours to find new suppliers and pull the wedding back together. Fortunately the day went without a hitch and some of the guests didn't even notice that there had been a near disaster!
