When did you join the firm?

 

September 1992.

 

What have been your career highlights?

 

On a personal level, it was qualifying as a solicitor and then becoming a partner at Lovells. In terms of the work I have been involved with my highlights are:

  • Court of Appeal victory in North Sea Energy v Petroleum Authority of Thailand
  • the High Court proceedings ALSTOM Automation brought against British Airways in respect of the World Cargo Centre at Heathrow Airport
  • the removal of the Judge in Mostcash v Fluor Limited; 

and a series of other cases which were in arbitration and so remain confidential.

 

What, in your view, is the one best thing about Hogan Lovells?

 

The collegiate atmosphere in the firm.

 

What is your favourite book?

 

War and Peace.
